Last Mountain Railway is 136 kilometers of rail running from northern Regina up to Davidson, Saskatchewan.

In 2009, this inactive track was destined for abandonment - but Mobil Grain co-founder, Sheldon Affleck, saw potential. With shareholder support and the much-appreciated cooperation of CN, the railroad was purchased and renamed Last Mountain Railway, in honor of it’s location.

With years of experience in farming and cleaning their own grain, brothers and co-founders, Lavern and Sheldon Affleck left the farm and launched their own mobile processing plant. Constantly challenging themselves to think “outside the box”, Mobil Grain offers innovative solutions for forward-thinking producers and buyers.

Following the success of Last Mountain Railway, Mobil Grain acquired this 402 kilometer rail-line running southwest of Saskatoon. Big Sky Rail provides producers with a competitive freight alternative and ensures that the railroad stays active and available for Saskatchewan’s vast delivery needs.

This efficiently-designed, loop-track port facility coincides with Mobil Grain’s unique ability to deliver a string of railcars ready for unload – enough railcars, in fact, to fill entire vessels. Located along the Mission River in Thunder Bay, Ontario, MobilEx Terminal Ltd. connects producers with competitive worldwide grain markets.
